Step-1: Preheat the air fryer to 400 F.
Step-2: Take the hot dogs out from the package and place them in air fryer basket. Cook for 6 minutes at 360 F while flipping halfway through.
Step-3: Take the basket out and place the hot dogs in buns. Cook further for 2 minutes. And that’s it. Your air fryer hot dogs are ready. Enjoy!
Tips & Notes
1- This recipe is not for frozen hot dogs. If you want to air fry frozen hot dogs, then defrost them in the microwave and cook them in a preheated air fryer at 360 F for 8 minutes.
2- Make slits in hotdogs before putting them in the air fryer, it’s good for appearance and the hot dogs crisp up nicely.
3- You can also coat the buns with butter, this will make the buns softer and fluffier.
4- If you are only cooking 2-3 hotdogs at a single time, then don’t use parchment paper or aluminum foil as the hotdogs won’t be able to hold them down due to their lighter weight.

If you have leftover hotdogs, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can store them for 3-4 days.

The second way is to air fry the buns separately. Just heat them on each side for 1 minute at 360 F and they will crisp up nicely on the edges.
