Air Fryer Pancakes Recipe

Air fryer pancakes have become the newest trend in breakfast treats. Not only do you get fluffy, golden flapjacks with just the right amount of outside crispiness, but the even height of each pancake is also perfect as well.

And if that isn’t enough, it’s easy to cook up a bunch of them at once – with only needing 8 minutes for each batch. And the plus point is that there are so many ways to customize pancakes.

So get ready to try your hand at air frying some killer pancakes this weekend! Now without any further delay, let’s move towards the recipe:

Recipe Ingredients

Not much; you just need a couple of things. Noe below:

  • Pancake Mix
  • Water
  • Cooking Spray

Equipment

Cosori Air Fryer

Aluminum Pans

Ingredient Notes

The main ingredient in this recipe is pancake batter. You can make pancake batter at your home, but here I am using Aunt Jemima Pancake & waffle mix. The pack I am using is 900 g in weight.

Equipment Notes

This recipe is made using a Cosori air fryer toaster oven which comes with 11 cooking presets, smart capabilities and quick air frying. Not only will you like its intuitive design, but you will also be impressed by its large cooking capacity.

Step-By-Step Guide

Step-1: Prep the batter

Open the pancake mix pack and take out 2 cups of dry mix powder in a large bowl.

After that, add 1.5 cups of water to the bowl. Mix well until the lumps disappear completely, and let it sit for 5 mins. But at the same time, be careful not to over-mix it.

Step-2: Spray the aluminum pans

Spray the pans with cooking oil.

Step-3:Pour the mixture

Pour the pancake mixture into the pans until their mouths are full.

Step-4:Cooking

Put the aluminum pan cups in the air fryer. Set the temperature at 400 F for 8 mins. As different air fryers have different power and capacity, make sure to have a check after 5 mins to ensure it does not get overcooked.

Once done, take it out from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 mins. Then serve with back berries and honey.

Pro Tips

1- Use aluminum pans for cooking and for storage of pancake batter. The good thing about them is that they can be reused multiple times. Just give them a good wash after cooking, and that’s it.

2- For perfect cooking, make sure the pancake has a golden brown texture at the end of the cooking.

3- For thicker pancakes, you can use 1/2 or 1/3 cup size of batter. If you opt to do so, don’t forget to adjust the cooking time to 1-2 mins.

4- You can add some fruits to the pancake batter for a better taste. You can try bananas, strawberries, raisin seeds etc.

5- As different brands have different composition and cooking instructions, So make sure to read the instructions on the back of the package.

Can you use parchment paper for air-frying pancakes?

No, it’s not a good idea. You would end up making a mess in your air fryer.

However, some people claim that they have used parchment paper and succeeded with it, but trust me if you are talking about facts; that’s not the reality. So, stay safe and healthy, and don’t try it.

Can you warm up and reheat the pancakes in an air fryer?

Yes, why not. It’s much easier and simple to reheat the pancakes in the air fryer. Put the pancakes in an air fryer basket, and set the temperature at 325 F for 3 mins. Depending on your pancake size, make sure not to get the basket overcrowded. If you have more pancakes, you can reheat them in multiple batches.

Can you freeze air fryer pancakes?

Yes, that’s the best part of air fryer pancakes; you can freeze them in an airtight container. For large batches, you can use wax paper between each pancake so that they don’t stick to each other.

What are the best brands for pancakes?

According to all recipes, below are best overall pancake mix.

1-Pearl Milling Company(TM) Original Pancake & Waffle Mix

2-Great Value Extra Fluffy Original Pancake & Waffle Mix

3-Birch Benders Organic Classic Pancake & Waffle Mix

4-King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Pancake Mix

But my personal favorite is Aunt Jemima Pancake & waffle mix.
