I love to eat seafood and air fryer shrimp is my favorite. It is a popular and delicious seafood dish known for its exceptional taste, texture, and crispiness. The air fryer’s efficient cooking method locks in the shrimp’s natural sweetness and succulence, while the hot circulating air helps to achieve a slightly crispy exterior.

How To Make Shrimp In Air Fryer

Air frying shrimp is very easy and quick. It just takes 8 minutes from start to end. The air fryer’s ability to cook food evenly and quickly without excessive oil results in a healthier and less greasy dish compared to traditional frying methods. And you will get a delightful texture that will contrast between the light crispiness on the outside and the delicate, succulent inside. 

Ingredients

1 lb. shrimp jumbo size

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon parsley leaves 

1/2 teaspoon kosher or pink salt          

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Fresh parsley (For garnishing)

Step-By-Step Guide For Air Fryer Shrimp

Step-1 Pat dry shrimp with a paper towel before cooking in the air fryer.

Step-2 Take a medium bowl and add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, lemon juice, olive oil, and paprika. Stir nicely until all ingredients are well mixed. 

Step-3 Add shrimp to the bowl and coat well with ingredients. 

Step-4 Preheat the air fryer to 400 F for 2 minutes.

Step-5 Place shrimp in a single layer. Cook at 390 F for 4 minutes. After that shake the basket and cook further for another 2-3 minutes.

Tips & Notes

1- Instead of using lemon juice in the mixture of the ingredients , you can also use it after cooking the shrimp as well. This allows you to have a better sense of the flavor.

2- You can increase the cooking time by 1-2 minutes but don’t cook the shrimp too much or else their juice will dry out.

3- After half time, flip the shrimp and give them a good shake for even cooking.

You can store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-4 days. Allow the shrimp to cool down properly and then pack them in an airtight container and place them in your fridge. 

For reheating, take them out from the fridge and heat them up in an air fryer. Set the temperature to 360 F for 2-3 minutes and that’s it. 

You can also reheat shrimp in the microwave, it just takes 40 seconds to reheat shrimp in the microwave.
