How To Cook Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
The air fryer works exceptionally well for bacon-wrapped shrimp, as the circulating hot air ensures that both the shrimp and bacon are evenly cooked. Shrimp remains succulent and juicy on the inside, while the bacon crisps up nicely without becoming overly greasy. The air fryer also helps retain the shrimp’s natural sweetness and the bacon’s savory taste, creating a harmonious and memorable flavor profile. You will absolutely love this recipe.

Notes & Tips
1- Start wrapping bacon from the tail of the shrimp and then move towards its top. For wrapping bacon slices into shrimp, you can also use a toothpick or skewers.
2- As a tip for extra delight, when shrimp are cooked half in the air fryer, take them out and brush the shrimp with bbq sauce and ingredients mixture marinade.
3- For this recipe, I have used jumbo size shrimp as it is easier to wrap them versus smaller ones. But you can make this recipe with smaller shrimp as well, then you have to cut the bacon into three parts instead of two.
4- Don’t forget to preheat your air fryer, it works well with this recipe.
5- Frozen shrimp can also be used for this recipe. Just increase the cooking time for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Storage & Reheating Guide
If you have any leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-4 days. You can also freeze the leftovers in a freezer bag with the seal for one month.
And when you want to have them again, simply reheat them in an air fryer at 360 F for 3 minutes.
Ingredients Variation Options For This Recipe
You can customize this recipe as per your preferred ingredients as well. Below are some of my suggestions:
For extra sweetness, you can use sweet BBQ sauce as well. You can either make homemade sweet BBQ sauce or buy one from the store. Some popular ones are Baby Rays honey bbq sauce and Heinz sweet bbq sauce.
You can also use brown sugar instead of using sweet bbq sauce.
You can add jalapeno as well. Just remove their seeds and cut into small pieces and place them with shrimp before wrapping them in bacon.
Can I Use Turkey Bacon Instead Of Regular Bacon For This Recipe?
In this recipe, I have used regular beef bacon. But you can use turkey bacon as well It depends on your preference, and you can customize the recipe as per your desire. Turkey bacon is a leaner alternative and is a great choice for those looking to reduce their calorie and fat intake. Keep in mind that turkey bacon is typically thinner and less fatty than regular bacon, which may result in the overall cooking time so after 5 minutes of cooking, keep a check after every 2 minutes so it does not get overcooked.
