What Type Of Steak Is Perfect To Be Cooked In The Air Fryer?

You can try different types of steak with your air fryer. You can cook various types of steaks well in air fryer , but some cuts are better suited to this method due to their thickness and fat content. Here are a few types of steaks that work well in an air fryer:

Ribeye: Ribeye steaks are soft and tasty because they have a lot of marbling and fat. When you cook it with an air fryer, the fat is rendered beautifully and a lovely crust is produced on the surface while the inside remains tender and juicy.

Flank Steak: Flank steak also comes out well in the air fryer. Cooking time is also relatively less and the result is flavorful for a quick meal.

Sirloin: Sirloin is my favorite cut. It is a flexible and lean cut and is done nicely in the air fryer. Just marinate it and season it well to bring out its inherent taste.

Flat Iron: It is a soft, well-marbled cut that is sometimes disregarded, but when cooked in an air fryer, it comes out tasty and juicy.

Tips & Notes

1- Any frozen meat takes more time than fresh meat and sometimes taste is not same as fresh steak. But that’s not the case with this recipe. You can cook it straight from the freezer, in fact take this as a tip to cook frozen steak directly in an air fryer without thawing it.

2- After the steak has been cooked, let it rest for 4-5 minutes in an air fryer basket, don’t take it out immediately. This way it stays warm and loses some stiffness due to cooking.

3- Don’t forget to flip the steak multiple times, it will depend on it thickens but I normally flip it twice for better and more even cooking.
